I started the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for a new car ‘16 Forester a couple weeks ago, but got serious a few days ago. My results have been dismal.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I have heard back from two dealerships now and it is kind of comical. The first dealership came back with the MSRP on the car as their selling price. I can respect that. Not showing their hand and attempting to entice me with a $25 Restaurant.com gift card (no chance) if I test drove with them. The second one came back with a price that is higher than their list price on their website.

I’m trying to figure out which one to pick to test drive at. The dealership that came back with a higher price than what is listed on their website has the lower price by a couple grand. I think I’ll go there and see where it leads. I think that will prove I am actually interested in purchasing sooner than later and actually get the ball rolling.

For reading my woes:

You can get manual in the base and premium trim. I unfortunately have to get the CVT (no matter what even if we opted for the premium trim), but I heard it wasn’t too bad. I also heard it improves the AWD platform.

My wife doesn’t drive stick and doesn’t want to on her daily. I can’t blame her. She does know how to drive, but I just have to respect it wont be on her daily.

One final thing that I think you get with the CVT is paddle shifters; which is pretty cool.

I’ve heard the complete opposite so be sure to get a test drive in. My cousin got an XT and went with the auto over the CVT, manual wasn’t available.

I didn’t realize there was an option other than CVT in the Limited and XT models. I’ll definitely be sure to do a little more research. I’m trying to convince my wife to go XT because turbo.

Sorry, his isn’t a 2016; I’m not sure of the year just that it’s a newer gen.
